Checking Calories
If you eat more than what your body
needs, you become fat. So don't live in a food's paradise or beyond your seams
to break the pound barrier. Don't forget that fat people are more prone to
arthritis, diabetes, heart attacks, high blood pressure (hypertension) and
gallstone than "skinnies". Don't chew, eschew - that should be your motto, as
you grow older. Or all your poise will turn into avoirdupois.
-
Write a diet diary and discuss it
once a week.
-
Eat food closest to its natural
form.
-
Take small servings of food -
Always remember: You can help yourself more by helping yourself to less.
-
Avoid buffets as they encourage
you to eat more.
-
Limit drinking alcohol as it adds
extra calories to your food.
-
Take small bites while eating and
eat slowly.
-
Concentrate on the taste of every
bite, that way you'll eat less.
-
Drink 2 - 3 liters of water daily.
-
Eat seed containing fruits and
vegetables as they are a great source of fiber.
-
Make snacking a conscious activity
or you will easily overeat without realizing.
-
Take more salads, green leafy
vegetables and less of fried and oily things.
